We head out to friend raise!
We are returning to the Navajo winter 2013-2014 as missionaries partnered with the San Juan Baptist Association, when our support is raised... We start visiting at our own church Immanuel Baptist of Corbin, later this month into early June. After that, Michelle will be travelling to Kansas for a week to visit family and connect with our churches there. Then we will expand on through Kentucky and Tennessee. From there maybe Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, and states in between. ~ The Nickles

Stormy ~ The Car
Stormy came into our life at last! Who or what is Stormy? Stormy is a stormy blue 2002 Dodge Neon, which was given to us by a family at Immanuel Baptist Church. They knew we were missionaries returning from the Reservation, and that we have only Rob's old 1986 Scottsdale, Rez Rocket, to drive, and that she is a gas hog at that! Stormy does well on gas. All we have to do is replace her tires soon, and she is as good as new. ^_^ Where God guides, He provides!

Casa Rosa
Rob and I live in a little checkerboard community called Thoreau in northeastern New Mexico. Surrounding us on most sides is the Navajo Reservation. Thoreau is a typical rez community: small, not much to do, and alot of people to meet. For us, we did not expect to move to Thoreau. We were just looking for a place close to the rez where we could live near the missions field and maybe rent some land. Little did we expect to find an older mobile home with an acre of land on a street called Rose. The place is a fixer upper, but what missionary home isn't? We'll write more about "home"...
Later...

Snow in Flagstaff
Here we sit in the scared mountains surrounding Flagstaff, AZ. We have been snowed in all weekend, with over two feet of snow, and horrid colds on top of that. Ahh, such is the life of missionaries. Soon a friend should be able to rescue us, and we can get out to get cold meds at last. Ran out prior to the roads being good enough to get out.~ Rob and Michelle
